We’re currently recruiting for an experienced Structural Detailer to join an established structural steel fabrication business based in Wombwell, Barnsley. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse range of technically challenging and high-profile steelwork projects, including bridges, architectural steelwork and complex structural installations.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce accurate 3D models using Tekla Structures
- Prepare fabrication, construction and erection drawings
- Develop complete fabrication packages, including material lists and NC data
- Interpret structural and architectural drawings and specifications
- Liaise with engineers, clients and project teams to resolve technical queries
- Ensure drawings and models are accurate and delivered to programme
- Identify design changes and potential variations
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a Structural Steel or Tekla Detailer
- Strong practical experience with Tekla Structures
- Good understanding of structural steel fabrication and manufacturing
- Ability to interpret engineering and architectural drawings
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience working on bridges, AESS, complex steel structures or specialist fabrication projects would be highly advantageous.
