We're currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Fabricator Welder to join their growing team on a permanent day shift.

About the Role

As a Fabricator Welder, you'll be responsible for manufacturing high-quality structural steel components used across a variety of construction and industrial projects.

Working from engineering drawings, you'll fabricate, assemble and weld steelwork to exact specifications while maintaining the highest quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Fabricate and assemble structural steel sections, including UBs, UCs, PFCs and CHSs.
  • Carry out cutting, grinding and welding to project specifications.
  • Operate fabrication machinery, hand tools and measuring equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure all fabricated work meets dimensional and quality standards.
  • Safely operate overhead cranes and other lifting equipment.
  • Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and supervisors to achieve production deadlines.
  • Follow all health and safety procedures and wear the appropriate PPE at all times.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in structural steel fabrication and welding.
  • The ability to read and work from engineering drawings.
  • Strong fabrication, welding and metalworking skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • A strong work ethic, reliability and punctuality.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • A proactive approach to health and safety.
  • A recognised fabrication or welding qualification is desirable but not essential.
  • Pay range and compensation package
