The role:

In this role, you will lead the full system design and development lifecycle across electrical, electronic, hardware, and embedded software systems. You’ll drive technical delivery, define system architectures, and ensure requirements are met throughout. You'll champion systems engineering best practices, mentor engineers, and support continuous improvement across the team. Collaborating with project managers, you’ll help shape project plans, manage risks, and find opportunities for cost and schedule efficiencies. You’ll also support bids, lead integration and validation activities, engage with stakeholders, and play a key role in developing team capability.

What we want from you:

  • Degree-qualified in a relevant engineering discipline, with a strong foundation in systems thinking and product development.
  • Over 5 years of experience delivering multidisciplinary projects across the full lifecycle, from concept through to validation and support.
  • Proven track record in systems engineering, including requirements capture, traceability, and through-life management.
  • Successful leadership of complex engineering projects involving mechanical, electronic, and software integration.
  • Passionate about systems engineering, with a continuous improvement mindset and a commitment to technical excellence.

For Security Clearance reasons to work this role you must have British citizenship or be a dual national with British citizenship.
