We are currently working with our client, a leading civil engineering and infrastructure contractor, who is looking to appoint an experienced Senior General Foreman to join an £11m bridge replacement project near Seaford, East Sussex .
The project is already underway and is scheduled to run through to early 2028 , offering an excellent opportunity to join a major heavy civil engineering scheme and play a key role in its successful delivery.
The works involve the construction of a new bridge over the River Cuckmere, together with a broad range of complex civil engineering activities, including bored piling, sheet piling, retaining walls, earthworks, highway works, scour protection and temporary works .
As Senior General Foreman, you will take a leading role in the day-to-day delivery of the works, coordinating site teams, subcontractors, plant and materials to ensure the project is delivered safely, efficiently and in line with programme requirements.
Your responsibilities will include: Directing and coordinating the work of site operatives and subcontractors.
Ensuring environmental management systems are effectively implemented on site.
Supporting the preparation and delivery of project programmes.
Planning and ordering materials and plant to meet programme requirements.
Maintaining accurate daily records of works completed.
Monitoring progress and ensuring works are delivered in accordance with the site programme.
Ensuring all plant and equipment is suitable for the required tasks and complies with current legislation.
