Due to increased demand, particularly from customers within the medical sector, the company is looking to add an experienced CNC Turner to their team. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong Fanuc controls experience who is confident setting and operating CNC lathes.

The role will mainly involve working on 2-axis CNC lathes, machining primarily aluminium components across small to medium batch work. The company operates a variety of machines, including Mori Seiki, Puma and Lynx, all running Fanuc controls.

Key Responsibilities
  • Setting and operating CNC lathes
  • Working on 2-axis machines
  • Machining aluminium components
  • Reading and working from engineering drawings
  • Carrying out inspection and deburring of components
  • Working to small and medium batch requirements
  • Liaising with the senior management team regarding schedules and priorities
  • Maintaining quality standards and working to production deadlines
Skills and Experience Required
  • Experience setting and operating CNC turning machines
  • Strong experience using Fanuc controls
  • Experience working on 2-axis CNC lathes
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Experience machining aluminium would be beneficial
  • NVQ Level 3, apprenticeship or equivalent engineering qualification preferred
  • Programming experience would be advantageous but is not essential

The Role: Ruislip-based position, Monday to Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm, 39-hour working week, working on medical-sector components, long-term opportunity within a growing engineering business.
