Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities We are seeking a Manufacturing Technician to build, assemble, wire and test a range of special-purpose machinery and prototype equipment. The successful candidate will have strong electro-mechanical assembly skills, good attention to detail, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and electrical schematics. Electrical & Electro-Mechanical Assembly Carry out electro-mechanical assembly of special-purpose machinery and prototype units. Undertake precision assembly of prototype and production equipment. Complete point-to-point wiring, cable crimping, looming and termination work to a high standard. Carry out soldering and wiring to the required specifications. Read, interpret and work from electrical wiring diagrams, circuit diagrams and assembly drawings. Locate, diagnose and rectify faults within electrical power supply equipment. Carry out general mechanical and electrical assembly work as required. Correctly use, maintain and care for a range of hand tools, power tools, test equipment and measuring instruments. Ensure all work is completed accurately, safely and in accordance with relevant procedures and quality standards.Tools & Practical Skills The successful candidate must be confident using a variety of hand and power tools, including: Crimping tools Wire strippers and cutters Screwdrivers Spanners and ratchet sets Electric power tools Electrical test and measuring equipmentKey Skills & Experience Previous experience in electrical, electro-mechanical or manufacturing assembly. Good practical skills with wiring, soldering and cable termination. Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and technical drawings. Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to assembly and fault finding. Good manual dexterity and practical problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a wider engineering/manufacturing team
