  • Deliver engineering solutions across feasibility, concept, FEED, value engineering, and detailed design stages
  • Produce key technical deliverables including:
  • Pipeline and AGI design packages
  • Wall thickness calculations
  • Piping specifications and routing studies
  • Undertake pipeline routing studies, population density assessments, and high-pressure pipeline diversion design
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop integrated design solutions
  • Support development of 3D models and plant layouts
  • Provide technical leadership within the pipeline and layout discipline
  • Contribute to proposals, bids, and multi-disciplinary project submissions
  • Ensure engineering solutions are safe, cost-effective, and aligned with industry standards
  • Required Skills & Experience

    • Degree in a relevant engineering discipline
    • Chartered Engineer status (or working towards IEng/CEng) with a relevant professional institution
    • Strong understanding of IGEM/TD/1, TD/13, and gas network operator standards
    • Extensive experience in pipeline and AGI design, including routing and high-pressure systems
    • Strong knowledge of national and international pipeline and piping design codes and standards
    • Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering environments and contributing to 3D plant models
    • Strong understanding of engineering design processes, calculations, and scope development
    • Experience resolving operational and integrity-related engineering issues
    • Proficiency in Autodesk software, including:
    • AutoCAD
    • AutoCAD Plant 3D
    • Navisworks
    • BIM 360
  • Strong MS Office capability for technical reporting, specifications, and engineering documentation
  • Experience working with clients, contractors, and stakeholders with varying technical and commercial requirements
  • Knowledge of ASME codes (desirable)
  • Project Scope

Projects will span a range of energy transition and low-carbon infrastructure developments, including:

    • Natural gas transmission (below and above 7 bar)
    • Hydrogen pipeline systems
    • Carbon dioxide transport infrastructure
    • Future fuels and carbon capture systems

The role also includes exposure to early-stage and first-of-a-kind technologies within the evolving energy transition sector.
