Offshore Installation Manager – HVDC Cable Projects
We’re looking for an experienced Offshore Installation Manager (OIM) to lead HVDC cable installation operations on major offshore energy projects. You’ll play a key role in delivering safe, efficient, and timely offshore activities in line with project requirements and industry standards.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead offshore operations for HVDC cable installation as the primary offshore point of contact
- Oversee daily vessel and marine activities, including cable lay, burial, and support spreads
- Ensure all work meets HSE policies, marine standards, and project procedures
- Manage offshore teams, including subcontractors, vessel crews, and client reps
- Work closely with onshore project management, engineering, and marine coordination
- Run toolbox talks, safety briefings, and risk assessments to maintain a strong safety culture
- Track daily progress, report activities, and flag any risks to safety or schedule
- Ensure full compliance with all permits, licenses, and regulations
What You’ll Bring:
- Solid experience in subsea cable installation and offshore operations
- Valid offshore certifications (BOSIET, GWO, OGUK medical)
- Proven leadership managing offshore teams across disciplines
- Strong communication and reporting skills
- Willingness to work offshore on a rotational or project basis
Nice to Have:
- Experience with export and inter-array cable scopes
- Knowledge of trenching, burial, and jointing operations
This role is based in the London area but allows for fully remote working.
