We're currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Fabricator Welder to join their established and growing steel fabrication team.

About the Role As a Fabricator Welder, you will be responsible for cutting, assembling, and welding structural steel components used in a variety of projects, including buildings, staircases, balustrades, platforms, bridges, and industrial structures.
Working from technical drawings and specifications, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality fabricated products that meet exacting standards.
Responsibilities Read and accurately interpret technical and engineering drawings.
Fabricate and assemble structural steel components, including UBs, UCs, PFCs, CHSs, and similar sections.
Carry out cutting, grinding, fitting, and welding activities to specification.
Safely operate fabrication machinery, hand tools, and measuring equipment.
Ensure all fabricated work meets dimensional tolerances and quality standards.
Operate overhead cranes and lifting equipment safely and effectively.
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
Work closely with supervisors and colleagues to achieve production targets and deadlines.
Wear and maintain the correct PPE at all times.
Follow all company health and safety procedures and workshop regulations.
Qualifications A recognised Fabrication/Welding qualification is desirable but not essential.
Required Skills Previous experience within a steel fabrication and welding environment.
The ability to read and understand engineering and fabrication drawings.
Strong welding and metal fabrication skills.
Experience fabricating structural steel components.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Good physical fitness and the ability to safely handle steel materials.
A strong awareness of workshop health and safety practices.
Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
