We're supporting a leading name in the compressed air engineering industry - a long-established, UK-wide organisation known for delivering innovative and reliable compressed air solutions across manufacturing, automotive, food, and pharmaceutical sectors.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to join their regional service team, carrying out installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial air compressors and associated equipment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proven compressed air professional who enjoys working hands-on in the field, takes pride in quality service, and wants to develop with a company that invests in its people through continual product and technical training.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdowns on rotary screw, vane, and piston compressors.
- Service and repair compressed air systems, dryers, filters, and condensate drains to manufacturer standards.
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults, ensuring safe, compliant operation of all equipment.
- Accurately complete service reports, timesheets, and documentation to ISO and company standards.
- Maintain effective communication with customers, ensuring a professional and safety-focused approach at all times.
- Participate in the call-out rota (approximately 1 week in 4-7) and occasional overtime as required.
- Collect parts weekly from the nearest depot.
About You
We're looking for someone who genuinely knows the compressed air trade - not just a mechanically minded engineer looking to transfer in.
You’ll ideally bring:
- Proven hands-on experience servicing and maintaining industrial air compressors.
- Strong electro-mechanical background (apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 in Engineering preferred).
- Working knowledge of Kaeser, Atlas Copco, CompAir, Gardner Denver, or similar systems.
- A solid understanding of safe working practices and fault-finding techniques.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regionally.
