The role offers a varied mix of workshop-based machine build and occasional international travel, with opportunities every couple of months to visit customer sites across Europe to help install, upgrade and commission machinery. It’s a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on mechanical work but also likes the idea of getting out to client sites and being involved in the final stages of major engineering projects.

You will be involved in:

  • Building and assembling bespoke machine units including spindles, clamps, pneumatics, hydraulics and lubrication systems
  • Reading and working from mechanical assembly drawings, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics
  • Installing and commissioning machinery both in the UK and overseas
  • Working closely with engineering and design teams throughout projects
  • Using workshop machinery including mills, lathes and grinders
  • Supporting machine upgrades, repairs and continuous improvement projects
  • Inspecting precision components and ensuring high assembly standards throughout builds
