Offshore Installation Engineer to oversee and manage the execution of HVDC cable installation operations on high-profile offshore energy projects. The successful person will be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and timely execution of all offshore activities in accordance with project specifications and industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary offshore representative and lead for HVDC cable installation operations.
- Coordinate daily offshore activities, including vessel operations, marine coordination, cable lay, burial, and associated marine spreads.
- Ensure all operations are carried out in compliance with HSE policies, marine standards, and project-specific procedures.
- Manage and lead offshore teams including subcontractors, vessel crew, and client representatives.
- Liaise closely with onshore project management, engineering teams, and marine coordination.
- Conduct toolbox talks, risk assessments, and safety briefings to promote a strong safety culture.
- Monitor progress, report daily offshore activities, and escalate any issues impacting schedule or safety.
- Ensure full compliance with permits, licenses, and regulatory frameworks during offshore operations.
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of subsea cable installation methods, vessel operations, and offshore HSE regulations.
- Valid offshore certifications (e.g., BOSIET, GWO, OGUK medical).
- Demonstrated leadership in managing multidisciplinary offshore teams.
