Our client, a leading defence and aerospace organisation, is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer / Scheduler to join a high-profile engineering programme supporting one of the UK’s most advanced airborne defence platforms. The Role
As an Industrial Engineer, you’ll work closely with engineering, production, and leadership teams to enhance manufacturing efficiency and support the successful delivery of critical defence capability. This role combines industrial engineering principles with production planning and scheduling to ensure manufacturing operations are optimised and delivery objectives are achieved.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse and optimise production line balancing, capacity and manufacturing readiness.
- Develop operational plans, including budgeting, forecasting, capacity planning and constraint analysis.
- Support project planning, scheduling and production execution activities.
- Assist with production recovery planning and shop floor workload management.
- Conduct time studies and labour observations to establish standards and identify process improvements.
- Identify manufacturing bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve efficiency.
