This is a key standalone role within the business, responsible for ensuring IT systems, infrastructure and user support run smoothly across GSE sites. The successful candidate will act as the first point of escalation for IT issues, providing hands-on support across hardware, software, networks, systems and users at all levels.

The role will cover day-to-day IT operations, first and second-line support, system installation and configuration, cyber security compliance, vendor management, documentation, and support with wider IT projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide first and second-line IT support across GSE sites.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot IT infrastructure, including hardware, networks, servers and cloud systems.
  • Install and configure computers, servers, printers and mobile devices.
  • Ensure systems and devices remain compliant with company IT and cyber security standards.
  • Support system upgrades, migrations and IT projects.
  • Work closely with operations, commercial, finance and admin teams to support business processes.
  • Manage IT asset records, documentation and vendor relationships.
  • Support ERP, finance and operational system integration where required.
Requirements
  • 3–5 years' experience in IT support, IT coordination or systems administration.
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networks, servers, storage and cloud systems.
  • Confident providing hands-on technical support in a busy operational environment.
  • Good understanding of cyber security best practice, GDPR and compliance.
  • Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Dynamics, Navision, Business Central or similar ERP/business systems would be beneficial.
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, MCP or similar certifications would be advantageous.
