An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Industrialisation Manager to lead the transition of complex engineering products from design through to full-scale manufacture. This is a strategic leadership position responsible for driving New Product Introduction (NPI), manufacturing readiness, process optimisation and continuous improvement across a highly regulated engineering environment. You'll work closely with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain and Quality teams to ensure products are delivered into production efficiently, cost-effectively and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the industrialisation strategy for new and existing products.
- Drive NPI programmes from concept through to production ramp-up.
- Champion Design for Manufacture (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
- Ensure manufacturing processes are robust, scalable and production-ready.
- Lead process improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Manage production engineering and test engineering teams.
- Oversee factory readiness, equipment implementation and capacity planning.
- Work closely with suppliers and external partners to ensure manufacturing readiness.
- Drive improvements in yield, quality, productivity and cost reduction.
- Provide leadership across cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders.
About You
We're looking for a proven manufacturing leader with:
- Extensive experience in Industrialisation, NPI or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, assembly and test processes.
- Experience leading production ramp-ups within complex manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong stakeholder management and leadership capabilities.
- Experience managing technical teams and delivering operational improvements.
- Experience within Defence, Aerospace, Electronics, Electro-Mechanical Manufacturing or other highly regulated industries would be highly advantageous.
