Join an established engineering and manufacturing company producing a wide range of components and sub-assemblies for sectors including aerospace, defence, automotive and other specialist engineering markets. This is a hands-on machining role, working with Mazak machines, Mazatrol controls and 4-axis machining processes. The work will involve producing small to medium batch components from a variety of materials including aluminium, stainless steel, titanium, copper and brass.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Setting and operating Mazak CNC machines
  • Using Mazatrol controls to set and run multiple machines and machining processes
  • Working with 4-axis machines
  • Machining materials including aluminium, stainless steel, titanium, copper and brass
  • Producing precision components and sub-assemblies for aerospace, defence, automotive and wider engineering markets
  • Working on small to medium batch production runs, typically around (Apply online only) pieces
  • Checking dimensions and alignment using measuring equipment such as micrometres, gauges and CMMs
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and work instructions
  • Working to tight tolerances and maintaining high quality standards

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience setting and operating Mazak machines is essential
  • Confident using Mazatrol controls
  • Experience with 4-axis machining would be beneficial
  • Able to read and understand engineering drawings
  • Competent using inspection equipment including micrometres, gauges and CMMs
  • Previous experience machining materials such as aluminium, stainless steel, titanium, copper or brass
  • Experience working within precision engineering, aerospace, defence, automotive or similar manufacturing environments would be advantageous
