Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join a high-profile engineering project based in Banniskirk, Scotland. This is an excellent opportunity for an accomplished engineering professional to play a key role in delivering complex infrastructure works while working alongside a highly skilled project team. The Role
As a Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing engineering activities on site, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with project specifications. You'll provide technical support to site teams, liaise with stakeholders and ensure engineering standards are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate engineering activities across the project.
- Ensure works are delivered in line with programme, quality and budget requirements.
- Review engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
- Provide technical guidance and support to Site Engineers and Section Engineers.
- Carry out site inspections and monitor construction progress.
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors and project stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards, company procedures and Health & Safety legislation.
- Identify engineering risks and implement effective solutions.
- Produce engineering reports, progress updates and project documentation.
- Support the successful delivery of project milestones within agreed timescales.
About You
We're looking for someone who has:
- Previous experience as a Senior Engineer, Section Engineer or Site Engineer.
- Strong background delivering civil engineering, infrastructure or construction projects.
- Excellent knowledge of engineering principles and construction methodologies.
- Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Experience working within fast-paced project environments.
- A proactive approach with excellent organisational skills.
- A strong commitment to health, safety and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Professional membership with ICE or a similar institution is advantageous.
- Valid CSCS Card.
- SMSTS or SSSTS certification is desirable.
