We are currently recruiting for an experienced Civil Operative / Groundworker to join our team on a contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a range of groundworks and civil engineering duties on site, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general groundworks and civil operative duties on site.
- Excavation, trenching, ducting, backfilling, and reinstatement works.
- Assist with installation of utilities, drainage, and associated civil infrastructure.
- Operate safely in line with site Health & Safety procedures.
- Work effectively as part of a site team to meet project deadlines.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Ensure all PPE is worn and maintained correctly at all times.
Essential Requirements
- Valid NG Person certification.
- Manual Handling certificate.
- Previous experience working as a Groundworker / Civil Operative.
- Strong understanding of site Health & Safety procedures.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Full PPE required before attending site.
Desirable Skills
- Additional plant tickets or utility experience advantageous.
- Experience working on utilities or infrastructure projects preferred.
Rate: £28.00 per hour
