Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic EHS leadership, mentoring, and guidance to project teams.
- Champion Zero Harm initiatives and ensure compliance with legislation, company policies, and client requirements.
- Lead audits, inspections, incident investigations, and corrective actions.
- Standardise best practices, safety documentation, and reporting across projects.
- Oversee contractor compliance and support prequalification and tender submissions.
- Manage team development, recruitment, onboarding, and training.
- Drive continuous improvement through lessons learned, innovation, and digital EHS tools.
- Represent EHS interests with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Ensure emergency preparedness, competency development, and enforcement of safety standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Significant senior-level EHS experience in construction, engineering, or industrial sectors.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and relevant EHS legislation.
- Proven leadership managing EHS teams across multiple sites.
- Skilled in audits, incident investigation (e.g., 5 Whys, TAP Root, Kelvin Top Set), and risk management.
- Proficiency with EHS systems, reporting tools, and digital platforms.
- Ability to travel regularly and work across multiple business units.
