We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Field Service Engineer to join a well-established team supporting a wide range of garage equipment, with a strong focus on vehicle lifts and brake testers. Working from home, you’ll be responsible for servicing, repairing, and calibrating equipment within an approximately one-hour travel radius. This is a day-based role with no stay-aways or on-call requirements, offering genuine work-life balance. Travel time is fully paid, and voluntary overtime is available for those who want it.
Key Responsibilities:
- Service, repair, and calibrate garage equipment, including vehicle lifts and brake testers
- Diagnose mechanical faults and perform corrective maintenance
- Deliver a high standard of customer service while working independently on site
- Complete job reports and documentation accurately
Requirements:
- Mechanical engineering or technical background
- Hands-on experience with maintenance, fault finding, and repairs
- Previous experience with garage equipment (especially lifts/brake testers) preferred
- Strong communication skills and good spoken/written English
- Full UK driving licence
