We are currently looking for an experienced Site Engineer to provide short-term paternity cover across multiple infrastructure project sites throughout Scotland and the North East. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong all-round engineer who is comfortable supporting live site operations, quality documentation, lift planning activities, and occasional setting out duties.

Pay: £(Apply online only) Per Day (Inside IR35)

Location: Projects across: Wooler, Simprim, Haddington, Rhynd (Perth), Charlestown (Dunfermline), Pettinain (Lanark). Travel between sites will be required, so candidates based centrally within Scotland/Fife/Kinross areas would be advantageous.

Contract Details:

Responsibilities:

  • Completing WC Quality Check Sheets
  • Supporting Lift Plans and lifting coordination activities
  • Providing day-to-day engineering support on site
  • Carrying out occasional setting out duties
  • Maintaining accurate site documentation and records
  • Supporting quality, safety, and compliance procedures
  • Liaising with site teams and subcontractors

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Site Engineer within civil engineering or infrastructure projects
  • Experience with quality documentation and site compliance
  • Knowledge of Lift Plans and associated site activities
  • CSCS Card
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently across multiple sites

Desirable:

  • AutoCAD experience
  • Setting out experience
  • Infrastructure or utilities project background

This role would suit a proactive engineer who can quickly integrate into established site teams and support ongoing works with minimal supervision.
