We are currently recruiting for an experienced CSA Engineer to join a Central Engineering team in Dublin, supporting the delivery of major projects across the Data Centre, Industrial, Pharmaceutical and Life Sciences sectors. This is a mid-level engineering position covering Civil, Structural and Architectural (CSA) disciplines, combining technical engineering, design coordination and construction support. You will play an important role in managing design packages from initial review through procurement, planning, construction and handover.

The Role

  • Working closely with engineers, architects, project managers, consultants, subcontractors and construction teams, you will be responsible for supporting the successful delivery of CSA packages.
  • Your responsibilities will include:
    • Managing CSA design packages and technical deliverables.
    • Developing scopes of work, TIDPs and responsibility matrices.
    • Leading design and coordination meetings.
    • Coordinating CSA interfaces with MEP disciplines.
    • Reviewing designs for technical compliance and constructability.
    • Performing structural steelwork and concrete analysis and calculations.
    • Reviewing geotechnical, site investigation and survey information.
    • Supporting statutory consent and Building Regulations processes.
    • Reviewing drawings, calculations, quantities and technical documentation.
    • Identifying design risks, changes, interfaces and scope gaps.
    • Supporting procurement, planning, construction and handover.
    • Undertaking site visits and monitoring design implementation and quality.
    • Identifying Value Engineering and Off-Site Manufacturing opportunities.
    • Preparing technical submittals, reports and handover documentation.
    • Managing RFIs, drawing registers, technical submittals, deviations and design changes.

About You

  • You will ideally have:
    • 5+ years' post-graduate experience.
    • Experience within Data Centres, Industrial, Pharmaceutical or Life Sciences.
    • A degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture and/or Construction Management.
    • Strong knowledge of Statutory Consent Processes and Building Regulations.
    • Strong design, technical and construction knowledge.
    • Experience leading meetings and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
    • Strong structural engineering knowledge, particularly steel and concrete.
    • Experience with BIM, Revit and Tekla or equivalent software.
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
    • The ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver technical packages to programme.
    • Previous data centre/mission-critical experience, main contractor exposure, BIM360/ACC knowledge and experience with Value Engineering or Off-Site Manufacturing would be highly advantageous.
