A leading European engineering and construction organisation is looking for an experienced Business Unit Lead to oversee a portfolio of major Communications (COMMS) projects across Ireland and Europe. This is a senior leadership position offering the opportunity to take ownership of multiple projects, lead experienced project teams and play a key role in the operational and commercial performance of the wider Business Unit. The Role You will be responsible for the successful delivery of multiple COMMS projects, working across different European jurisdictions and providing leadership to Project Managers and wider delivery teams. Your responsibilities will include: Leading multiple COMMS / ICT projects across Ireland and Europe. Providing leadership, direction and support to Project Managers and project teams. Monitoring programme, commercial performance, quality and safety across projects. Reviewing project progress, lookaheads and reporting and implementing recovery strategies where required. Managing client relationships and acting as a senior point of contact. Supporting tendering, procurement and the development of project packages. Overseeing subcontractor performance and contract management. Managing project change, commercial issues and disputes. Ensuring company processes, project controls and QEHS standards are consistently implemented. Identifying opportunities to improve productivity, project performance and operational efficiency. Supporting recruitment, training and development within the Business Unit. Reporting project performance, risks and opportunities to senior management. About You We are looking for an experienced COMMS / ICT project leader who has previously managed multiple large-scale projects and teams. You should have: 5-10 years' experience managing multiple COMMS / ICT projects at a senior level. Experience delivering projects across multiple regions or jurisdictions. A background in data centres, mission critical, telecommunications or communications infrastructure. A relevant third-level qualification in Engineering, Construction, Commercial Management or a related discipline. Strong understanding of project delivery, controls, contracts and commercial management. Experience working with clients, subcontractors and senior stakeholders. Excellent leadership, communication and negotiation skills. A strong commercial and operational mindset. The ability to manage multiple priorities and make effective decisions under pressure. Willingness and ability to travel across Ireland and Europe.
