We are seeking an experienced Design Manager to join a leading engineering consultancy delivering major water infrastructure projects across the UK.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead multidisciplinary design teams, overseeing projects from feasibility and concept development through to detailed design and construction support. You'll play a key role in driving technical excellence, managing project delivery and working alongside industry-leading engineering professionals on nationally significant infrastructure programmes.
- Lead multidisciplinary engineering design teams across complex water infrastructure projects.
- Manage the delivery of design packages, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
- Work closely with Project Managers to manage project programmes, budgets and resources.
- Provide technical leadership throughout feasibility, concept, detailed design and construction support.
- Coordinate Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, ICA, Structural and Geotechnical engineering disciplines.
- Lead design reviews, risk assessments, quality assurance and technical governance activities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors and key stakeholders.
You'll be an experienced Design Manager with a proven background delivering multidisciplinary engineering projects within the water sector.
- Demonstrable experience leading multidisciplinary design teams.
- Strong background delivering water infrastructure projects through the full project lifecycle.
- Experience managing programmes, budgets, resources and project risks.
- Good knowledge of CDM Regulations, Eurocodes, NEC contracts and UK Water Industry standards.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and leadership skills.
