In this role, you'll have the opportunity to work collaboratively as part of an assembly production team to produce lifesaving equipment. You'll be involved in activities such as using technical specifications and drawing to build components and sub-assemblies and undertaking self-inspection / quality checks of built components. This is an onsite role based at our Denham site.
What You'll Do
- Assemble and inspect a range of complex sub-assemblies such as Powered Retraction Units, Snubbers and Auto Deployment Units, as part of the manufacture of ejection seats.
- Undertake self-inspection and quality checks of built components.
- Handle materials, goods and components carefully and comply with all safety regulations.
- Monitor the fitness of tools and equipment and provide their replacement or recalibration.
What We're Looking For
- Solid experience of working within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience of reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Experience working on complex sub-assemblies.
- Basic grounding in Health & Safety policies and procedures.
- Experience within Aerospace, Defence, or other highly regulated industries.
- Knowledge of automated testing equipment, multimeters and pressure testing equipment.
- Experience using SAP.
