The role:

As a Commodity Specialist, you will support the execution of the supply chain strategy by developing and managing strong, risk-mitigated supplier partnerships to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of quality products and services. You will lead the end-to-end procurement process for an engineering-focused portfolio, facilitating the introduction of new parts and adapting the supply chain to evolving needs. Your responsibilities will include negotiating contracts, issuing RFIs and RFQs with supporting commercial analysis, and identifying new suppliers that meet technical, commercial, and sustainability requirements. You will conduct supplier audits, manage supplier performance, and lead continuous improvement initiatives. Through effective stakeholder engagement and problem-solving, you will drive value, performance, and resilience across the supply chain network.

What we want from you:

  • Strong analytical skills with solid IT proficiency and experience using MRP/ERP systems
  • Proven background in technical, engineering, and machined component procurement
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and understand associated manufacturing processes
  • Confident in drafting, negotiating, and managing contracts to support procurement activities
  • Experience working within integrated project management teams
