Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VPN infrastructure
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability
- Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers
- Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and access controls
- Perform network upgrades, patches, and capacity planning
- Document network configurations, procedures, and diagrams
- Collaborate with systems, security, and cloud teams to support IT initiatives
- Provide tier 2/3 network support and participate in on-call rotations as required
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry best practices
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in network engineering or network administration
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, and switching
- Hands-on experience with networking hardware (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Palo Alto, Fortinet)
- Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools
- Understanding of network security principles and best practices
Preferred Qualifications
- Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, or equivalent
- Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Knowledge of SD-WAN, VoIP, or wireless networking
- Scripting or automation experience (Python, Bash, Ansible)
- Experience in high-availability or enterprise-scale environments
