We are seeking a driven Senior Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic Rail & Infrastructure Engineering team. In this pivotal role, you will lead the design, coordination, and technical delivery of complex electrical systems supporting the iconic HS2 programme.
Operating within a multidisciplinary MEICA (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control, and Automation) environment, you’ll drive technical excellence across the entire project lifecycle—from initial concept to final testing and commissioning.
- Lead the design of LV power distribution, earthing/bonding, lightning protection, UPS, and intelligent lighting systems.
- Prepare, review, and approve critical engineering deliverables: load assessments, cable sizing, protection studies, and design reports.
- Coordinate designs seamlessly across mechanical, civil, structural, and architectural disciplines.
- Ensure absolute compliance with HS2 Technical Standards, BS 7671, CDM Regulations 2015, and BIM processes.
Site Support & Commissioning
- Attend Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), providing engineering support straight through to final project handover.
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience: 5–10 years of electrical design experience within rail, infrastructure, utilities, or building services.
Technical Grip: Mastery of LV distribution, power quality, earthing/bonding, and engineering assurance frameworks.
Soft Skills: Exceptional stakeholder management skills and a natural ability to lead work packages.
Prior experience on HS2, Network Rail, London Underground, or Crossrail.
Hands-on experience with industry software: Amtech/Trimble ProDesign, ETAP, Dialux, Revit MEP, or Navisworks.
