Are you an experienced MEP Project Manager with a background in data centres or other mission-critical environments? We are currently recruiting for an MEP Project Manager to join a team delivering major data centre projects across Europe, taking responsibility for the successful delivery of mechanical, electrical and public health packages from design and pre-construction through to installation, commissioning and handover. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working on technically complex projects and wants to be involved in the delivery of critical infrastructure at significant scale.
The Role
- Take ownership of MEP delivery, working closely with clients, consultants, main contractors, specialist subcontractors and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the required quality standards.
- Manage MEP packages from design through to commissioning and handover.
- Coordinate mechanical, electrical, BMS, fire protection and ELV systems.
- Manage MEP contractors, subcontractors and specialist suppliers.
- Review and coordinate technical design documentation.
- Monitor programme, cost, quality and project risks.
- Lead technical coordination meetings and resolve interface issues.
- Manage change control and commercial impacts.
- Oversee testing, commissioning and Integrated Systems Testing (IST).
- Ensure compliance with relevant European standards, regulations and HSE requirements.
About You
- 5-10+ years' experience in MEP project management or senior MEP delivery.
- Proven experience working on data centre or mission-critical projects.
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical building services.
- Experience with systems including MV/LV, UPS, generators, HVAC, chilled water, CRAH/CRAC, BMS and fire protection.
- Experience delivering Tier III/Tier IV facilities would be highly advantageous.
- Strong commissioning and handover experience.
- Excellent contractor, stakeholder and multidisciplinary team management skills.
- Good programme, commercial and risk management experience.
- Experience with P6 or MS Project.
- A relevant engineering or building services qualification.
