We are seeking an experienced Cable Testing Technician with a strong background in WTG (Wind Turbine Generator) systems and high-voltage cables. The successful candidate will be responsible for the execution of cable tests, ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct electrical tests on 690V to 1000V unshielded cables , including:
- Insulation Resistance Test (IR)
- AC Hipot Test (AC HP)
- Perform testing on 6 kV shielded cables , including:
- Very Low Frequency (VLF) Withstand Test
- Execute tests on 10 kV and above shielded cables , including:
- Very Low Frequency (VLF) Withstand Test
- Alternative tests to VLF withstand tests
- DC HiPot Test (DC HP) (only for brand-new cables)
- Utilize industry-standard tools to perform accurate and efficient testing.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid certifications in Working at Heights and High Voltage operations.
- Proven WTG (Wind Turbine Generator) experience .
- Strong background in cable testing and execution (not inspection).
- Proficiency in handling testing equipment, including:
- Fluke Digital Multimeter
- Technician Standard Toolkit
- Megger device for insulation resistance measurement
- Micro-ohmmeter device
