A fantastic opportunity to join a burgeoning defence engineering organisation to expand its Data Link Systems capability as an RF Systems Lead Engineer. This is a key role supporting a major new system programme as the main technical contact for data link systems, working with suppliers and customers, while providing leadership to a small team of RF systems engineers.
You will coordinate systems engineering activities for the data link element of a weapon system project. Responsibilities include:
- Supporting bids
- Defining system architecture
- Developing requirements
- Managing system modelling activities
- Planning system proving and validation (V&V)
- Mentoring junior RF systems engineers
What we’re looking for:
- Strong understanding of RF technologies and RF communication system design
- Degree qualified in a STEM discipline (preferred)
- Solid background in systems engineering across the full product lifecycle
- Experience managing internal and external suppliers
- Strong customer-facing and communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously and drive progress within a multi-disciplinary team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
