Responsibilities
- Act as the digital design authority for all CAD, 3D, and BIM deliverables across power and data centre programmes.
- Develop, coordinate, review, and approve 2D drawings, 3D models, and BIM outputs in accordance with BIM Execution Plans and project requirements.
- Lead multidisciplinary model coordination across mechanical, electrical, structural, and architectural disciplines to ensure coordinated, clash-free, and constructible designs.
- Establish, manage, and enforce BIM governance standards, including ISO 19650 compliance, model naming conventions, data structures, and information management processes.
- Manage BIM maturity across all project stages, ensuring appropriate Levels of Detail (LOD) and Levels of Information (LOI) are achieved.
- Produce and manage digital layouts and models for data centre environments, generator enclosures, and balance-of-plant systems.
- Coordinate model federation, clash detection, and issue resolution using BIM coordination tools such as Navisworks.
- Ensure digital models accurately reflect approved engineering designs, interfaces, access requirements, and maintenance strategies.
- Support concept design, optioneering, and spatial planning activities using 3D and BIM tools.
- Prepare and manage digital handover deliverables, including as-built models, drawings, and asset data to support O&M manuals and client requirements.
- Provide technical oversight and quality review of CAD and BIM outputs produced by external designers and subcontractors.
- Support construction and installation activities by resolving model-related issues and providing accurate, up-to-date digital information.
- Drive continuous improvement in BIM maturity, automation, standardisation, and digital best practices.
- Undertake additional technical or departmental tasks as required to support broader business objectives.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience in a CAD, 3D, or BIM engineering role within engineering, construction, data centre, or power generation environments.
- Strong proficiency in CAD and Revit, with experience using BIM coordination and clash detection tools such as Navisworks.
- Solid understanding of BIM principles, information management, and governance in line with ISO 19650 standards.
- Demonstrated experience delivering models to defined Levels of Detail (LOD) and Levels of Information (LOI).
- Experience producing coordinated models for generator containers, data centre layouts, and balance-of-plant systems.
- Ability to manage multidisciplinary interfaces while maintaining model quality and integrity under programme pressure.
- Experience supporting construction, installation, and digital handover deliverables.
- Strong organisational skills with a structured, detail-focused, and quality-driven approach.
- Clear and confident communicator, able to challenge inputs and uphold digital design standards.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, working collaboratively with engineering, project, and site teams.
