We are currently seeking an experienced Tooling Design Engineer to join a leading advanced manufacturing and engineering environment in Ampthill, Bedfordshire on an initial 6-month contract (Inside IR35). This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the design, development and implementation of manufacturing tooling, fixtures and production solutions that support complex engineering programmes from prototype through to full-rate production.

The Role
As a Tooling Design Engineer, you will provide technical expertise across the full product lifecycle, supporting manufacturing efficiency, quality improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and developing manufacturing tooling, jigs and fixtures
- Supporting tooling solutions for CNC machining and composite manufacturing processes
- Producing technical requirement specifications and manufacturing process documentation
- Creating detailed process instructions, BOMs and routings
- Developing 3D models and technical drawings using CREO
- Managing design release and engineering changes through Windchill
- Collaborating closely with Production, Industrial and other teams
