A leading defence engineering organisation is looking for multiple Assembly Technicians / Cable Harness Technicians to join their growing production team in Ampthill. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with cable harness, wiring, electrical assembly, or production line experience to work on high-profile defence programmes within a modern manufacturing environment. The Role

You'll be involved in the manufacture and assembly of electrical cables and harnesses, working from engineering drawings and detailed work instructions within a high-volume production environment. Duties will include:

  • Cable and harness assembly to engineering specifications
  • Crimping, soldering, wiring, and electrical assembly work
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
  • Using hand tools, jigs, fixtures, and measuring equipment
  • Supporting high-quality production output on complex hardware
  • Maintaining high standards of health & safety and housekeeping

  • Cable harness or electrical assembly manufacturing
  • Production line or medium/high-volume manufacturing environments
  • Crimping and high-accuracy soldering
  • Working from technical drawings and work instructions
