We have an exciting opportunity for a Cable / Harness Technician to join the team based from Ampthill, Bedfordshire. This role benefits from our 4xFlex working pattern offering a 4 day working week Monday - Thursday. You'll also be offered ongoing training, support and flexible benefits.

We require a competent technician, capable of cable and harness manufacturing working from drawings and engineering instruction. Competent and safe use of all hand tools. Use of jigs, fixtures and measuring tools. Problem solver with a positive attitude. Working with support from the engineering group, a methodical and precise approach is needed to ensure successful completion of production tasks on high value hardware.

  • Cable and harness manufacturing to specifications using work instructions and engineering drawings working in a medium volume production environment.
  • Understanding of ESD controls.
  • Experience in the use of crimp tools and ability to hand solder to high accuracy.
  • Competent with using IT/software packages.
  • Cleanliness and housekeeping (5S) methodology.
  • A high level of health and safety awareness.
  • Certified IPC 620 or experience working with or understanding of IPC/J-Standards.
