This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone with experience in building mechanical assemblies and working with both mechanical components. You'll be responsible for assembling, inspecting, testing, upgrading and repairing assemblies in accordance with technical drawings, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Customer Manufacturing Manuals (CMMs), ensuring all work meets quality and functional standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble small & large mechanical components according to technical drawings, SOPs, and CMMs.
- Use hand tools and measuring equipment such as torque drivers, micrometers and verniers.
- Perform assembly tasks including drilling, tapping, reaming, countersinking, filing, lapping, buffing, and lubrication.
- Connect cables and wires following technical specifications.
- Conduct tests and inspections to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve any product issues.
- Maintain the equipment used in mechanical assembly processes.
Requirements
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, CMMs, and SOPs.
- Experience assembling components such as fans, motors and heaters.
- Proficient in reading, writing, and understanding English.
- Previous experience in mechanical assembly (desirable).
- Familiarity with mechanical and electrical components.
- Excellent attention to detail and precision in handling small parts.
- Comfortable using small assembly tools and measuring equipment.
- Fine soldering skills for small components.
