About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and reliable 360 Excavator Operator to work in a busy quarry environment in St Albans. This role involves operating 40-tonne Komatsu or Volvo excavators to support ongoing extraction and groundworks operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate 40T 360 excavators (Komatsu/Volvo) in a quarry setting
- Carry out bulk excavation, grading, and material handling
- Work efficiently alongside site teams, including groundworkers and plant operators
- Perform daily machine checks and basic maintenance
- Follow all site health & safety procedures and risk assessments
- Maintain productivity while ensuring high safety standards
Requirements
- Valid CPCS, MPQC or NPORS card (360 excavator above 10 tonnes)
- MP Connect card
- Must be Geotech trained
- Proven experience operating 40T excavators (Komatsu or Volvo preferred)
- Previous quarry experience is highly desirable
- Good understanding of site safety and machine operation
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence (preferred)
