About you

You understand the wider context of your work and make thoughtful decisions that support great outcomes for our clients, our teams, and the business, with an efficiency mindset that looks for ways to streamline, simplify, and automate. You thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and remain calm and steady through uncertainty, providing clarity and reassurance to clients, internal customers, and other stakeholders when things feel ambiguous or overwhelming. You’re a proactive problem-solver: you don’t just surface issues, you bring solutions and a clear recommendation, so we can move forward with confidence. You anticipate needs and go above and beyond to delight customers and colleagues - whether that’s supporting existing accounts, helping win new work, or ensuring our operations run smoothly.

About the role
As an Experimentation Lead at Mando Group, you will lead the design, execution and analysis of experiments that directly shape how our clients' digital products evolve. You will be the go-to authority on testing rigour and statistical best practice - partnering with product, engineering, insights and UX teams to build evidence-based roadmaps that drive measurable outcomes. This is a senior, client‑facing role. You will represent Mando Group in all experimentation‑related conversations and govern the quality of work produced by the wider team. You will connect test results to commercial impact, contributing to the profitability of client engagements and the growth of our experimentation practice.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the end‑to‑end design, execution and analysis of Optimizely Web and Feature experimentation, from hypothesis formation through to stakeholder insight delivery.
  • Own the strategic experimentation roadmap, running planning sessions with senior stakeholders to align the test pipeline with business OKRs and product vision.
  • Partner with product, UX, engineering and data science teams to define success metrics, instrumentation requirements and experiment integrity standards.
  • Translate experiment results into clear, commercially grounded recommendations and present findings confidently to both technical and non‑technical audiences.

Essential skills

  • Expert‑level knowledge of statistical methods - significance testing, confidence intervals, effect sizes, MDE calculation and power analysis.
  • Hands‑on experience with Optimizely Web and Feature Experimentation and VWO.
  • Strong data visualisation skills - ability to build experiment dashboards and communicate results clearly.
  • Proven ability to manage concurrent tests and avoid interaction effects in complex product environments.
  • Experience partnering with senior stakeholders to prioritise and sequence experiment roadmaps.
  • Experience in a consultancy or client‑facing agency environment.

We have three values that shape how we think, behave and make decisions.

  • Growth-minded - We believe in growing, always. Growth comes from supporting each other, staying curious, and being open to change. At Mando Group, growth can be fast, exciting, and sometimes messy – and that’s okay. It turns learning into better outcomes.
  • Accountable - We take responsibility seriously. Accountability means delivering on our promises and stepping up when things don’t go to plan. At Mando Group, it’s about owning actions and outcomes, making good decisions, and earning trust through transparency and professionalism.
  • Passionate - It’s not just about completing tasks. Passion shows up as energy, intent, and persistence when things get hard. It drives exceptional work and real impact. At Mando Group, passion helps us innovate, be great teammates, and create work that our clients and users value.

Flexible working - You work a 7.5 hour day, with the flexibility to decide your own start, finish and break times (providing you don’t block anyone else).
Comprehensive training - Structured onboarding process and ongoing professional development programme.
Health and wellbeing - Private health insurance with access to a full suite of medical, dental and wider wellbeing benefits. Regular social events and wellbeing activities.
Competitive package - 25 days of holiday increasing with length of service, plus bank holidays and the option to buy / sell holidays. Day off on your Birthday. Employee pension scheme with Royal London. Client and recruitment referral bonus.
Environmental benefits - Cycle-to-work scheme and Electric Vehicle Salary Sacrifice Scheme. Personal sustainability allowance. Volunteering day and access to the OnHand volunteering app. Options for a travel loan and discounted parking.
