The Role Scope:
You will undertake end‑to‑end user experience design, translating complex customer problems and requirements into intuitive, accessible digital journeys. Operating within our product model, you will independently drive the design pipeline from initial ideation to production‑ready output, ensuring all solutions alleviate friction and elevate the customer experience. While focusing on core hands‑on contribution, you will also play a key role in reviewing the work of others, maintaining consistency across our design system, and providing valuable mentorship to junior team members as our UX practice grows.
Role Key Responsibilities:
- Produce strong design outputs including wireframes, user flows, low and high‑fidelity prototypes, and component libraries.
- Uphold the design system as the single source of truth across Figma and Storybook to maintain a cohesive experience and drive scalability.
- Balance personal hands‑on contributions with reviewing the work of others to ensure overall quality, consistency, and alignment with brand guidelines.
- Lead in solving challenging edge‑case scenarios and navigate complex user and business requirements.
- Facilitate workshops and design crits to align cross‑functional teams and smoothly negotiate trade‑offs between UX, business goals, and tech debt.
- Clearly articulate design rationale to diverse stakeholders with credibility, professionalism, and engaging storytelling.
- Champion user research, formulate and conduct usability testing that delivers clear outputs to inform data‑led decision‑making.
- Confidently interpret user behaviour data and analytics to ensure designs are thoroughly substantiated.
- Uphold accessibility standards to maintain strict compliance with WCAG 2.1 AA guidelines across all UI designs.
- Collaborate closely with cross‑functional partners in product, engineering, and business stakeholders to ensure refined, scoped, and timely delivery.
- Partner with 3rd parties where necessary to deliver UX/UI wireframes and validation testing.
- Act as a supportive mentor for junior design talent, contributing directly to our internal design culture and knowledge sharing.
About You:
What we’re looking for:
- Core UX Experience: Demonstrated experience working as a UX / Product Designer within a fast‑paced, digital product environment, with a proven track record of handling senior‑level design complexities.
- Design Toolkit: Advanced proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, with a strong understanding of how components translate to code (no actual coding required).
- Methodology Alignment: Practical experience working within a product model and Agile/Scrum frameworks and ceremonies is essential.
- Data & Testing Mindset: An inquisitive, data‑led mindset with proven experience preparing, executing, or analysing user research and usability testing.
- Accessibility Knowledge: Strong foundational knowledge of WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards and their practical application in UI design.
- Workshop Facilitation (Desirable): Experience leading, planning, and executing design thinking style workshops or design crits is highly advantageous.
