The Role Scope
You will undertake end-to-end research and analysis to understand how our business areas work across people, processes, data, and technology. You will seamlessly navigate various delivery environments (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall), ensuring that new digital products and business changes directly meet user requirements and corporate constraints. While focusing on core analysis, you will also have the scope to lead smaller initiatives and support larger, complex corporate projects.
Role key responsibilities:
- Elicit, analyse, challenge, and validate business and user needs, proactively addressing any conflicting requirements.
- Define and manage core analysis artefacts, including problem statements, epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and non-functional requirements.
- Ensure strict traceability of requirements from initial business needs through to final technical development functionality.
- Map and evaluate existing business processes to identify operational gaps, friction points, and improvement opportunities.
- Select and apply appropriate business modelling techniques to create clear diagrams representing organisational workflows and interactions.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to design, prioritise, and facilitate the implementation of objective, measurable process improvements.
- Adapt your analytical approach to fit the delivery framework of the squad you are supporting, whether Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.
- Act as a key collaborator within multidisciplinary teams, identifying user experience gaps, and reviewing prototypes, test plans, and outcomes.
- Support stakeholders in understanding how product changes are delivered, making insightful decisions regarding prioritisation and Minimum Viable Product (MVP) designs.
- Build highly effective working relationships across internal departments and external stakeholder groups.
- Adapt your communication approach, tone, and style to explain decisions clearly using evidence, while smoothly resolving conflicts.
- Contribute to the development of the business analysis practice through collaboration, knowledge sharing, and promotion of best practices.
