The opportunity you were waiting for in 2025, to work with an iconic brand. This is one of the most iconic and well-known global British brands that are looking for a European Business Development Director. You will be a new business hunter to grow & develop new relationships with European FM clients. You will be based in the UK with occasional travel & sit at a senior level within the business, reporting to the MD.
They are paying a competitive salary of up to £80k on the base OTE 30% Bonus + Car + Benefits.
What an opportunity for 2025!

Your focus will be to look after a few of the Facilities Management brands but to also foster more relationships within this market. We are looking to target FM companies on a Pan European basis.

This exciting company has been around for years! They are based in a lovely part of the UK which you can visit once a month; however, this role is remote with a lot of travelling, hosting on-site, trade shows and out with the teams. Please expect to be staying overnight a few times a month and travelling to Europe.

What will you be doing?

As a Business Development Director, you will be working with the senior stakeholders across Europe and collaborating with them to grow the European business as well as bring on new business. We are looking at 20% growth and 80% new business.
We are NOT after a Key Account Manager but, in fact, an International Business Development Director.

Experience: IMPORTANT
We are looking for someone who has experience bringing on large complex accounts and who has pan-European experience. If you come from the cleaning industry or have worked with large FM companies, then that would be advantageous. We are open to background and experience, but commercial exposure to Europe is so important.

Location: Southwest England – WFH but required to travel 1 day a month to the office plus meetings at tradeshows. You will be on the road, conducting online meetings and travelling to Europe.

You will be reporting into the UK Managing Director.

Market Expansion:

  1. Identify and evaluate new international customers and opportunities, leveraging intelligence and insights to craft effective entry strategies.
  2. Establish and cultivate strategic partnerships, alliances, and networks to support market customer and growth.

Strategic Leadership:

  1. Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy aligned with the organisation’s objectives.
  2. Analyse global market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to inform decision-making and shape strategic initiatives.

Innovative Growth Approaches:

  1. Create and implement creative solutions to overcome market challenges and seize growth opportunities.
  2. Lead the development of campaigns and initiatives that differentiate the company’s offerings in competitive markets.

Collaboration Across Functions:

  1. Partner with internal teams, including product development, marketing, overseas companies, and export customers, to tailor solutions that meet regional and market-specific demands.
  2. Ensure alignment between regional strategies and local execution to maximise impact and efficiency.

Performance Management:

  1. Define clear growth objectives, set ambitious targets, and drive accountability within the business development team.
  2. Track, analyse, and report on the performance of initiatives, using insights to refine strategies and improve results.
