One of the most iconic and well-known Global British brands is looking for a Head of Sales/Commercial Sales Director to oversee their Commercial sales division.
What an opportunity for 2025! Your sales division will be responsible for the Commercial Cleaning distribution partners and the Facilities Management clients. This quirky Electrical Consumer brand and Commercial/Industrial cleaning brand are looking to grow even further with your help!
They are offering a competitive salary of up to £120k on the base, with an OTE of 20-30% Bonus + Car + Benefits or Car Allowance.
This exciting company has been established for years! They are based in a lovely part of the UK, which you can visit once a week; however, this role is remote with a lot of travelling, hosting on-site, trade shows, and working with the teams. Please expect to stay overnight a few times a month.
What will you be doing?
As the Commercial Sales Director, you will be overseeing two Senior Managers:
- One Manager will oversee the Vertical Facilities Management division.
- The other will manage the Distribution Division.
The Distribution division has 8 salespeople on the road, while the Vertical Facilities Management division will have 7 BDMs, Telesales/SDR, and other head office staff. You will be overseeing around 20 members of staff.
Experience: IMPORTANT
We are looking for someone with experience dealing with Facilities Management Clients, who has come from the Commercial Cleaning world, or we are open to a Commercial Sales Director with fresh new ideas from a similar industry who understands the Supply Chain of the Commercial Cleaning industry and has grown End User Accounts through Leadership. Industry experience is not all we are after, but the right attitude, excitement, and ideas!
Location:
South West England – WFH but required to travel 1 day a week to the office, and travel for events, tradeshows, and on the road with the team.
You will be reporting to the HEAD OF UK COMMERCIAL SALES.
Your objectives:
- Manage and grow the Sales Functions
- Grow New Business with the team
- Develop and execute a commercial sales strategy
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities while strengthening existing client relationships.
- Analyse market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes to inform strategic decision-making.
Team Leadership and Talent Development:
- Build, inspire, and lead a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Identify skill gaps and provide coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities to enhance team capabilities.
- Set clear performance objectives and metrics, regularly monitoring progress and providing constructive feedback.
Client Relationship Management:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with large FM clients, end-users, and distribution partners, ensuring a deep understanding of their needs and business goals.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders, delivering tailored solutions that drive mutual value.
- Proactively address client concerns and ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
Sales Development and Performance Management:
- Oversee sales development, including pipeline management, forecasting, and performance analysis.
- Implement best practices and tools to optimise sales efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, sales operations, and customer support, to align efforts and achieve business objectives.
