The Role – Business Development Manager (B2B Sales)

This is a pivotal, revenue-generating role focused on:

  • New Business Development
  • Pipeline Growth & Lead Generation
  • Tender Management & RFP Responses
  • Commercial Cleaning Contract Wins
  • Strategic Account Acquisition
  • Consultative / Value-Based Selling

You will take ownership of the full sales cycle — from prospecting and cold outreach to site surveys, bid submission and final presentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • New Business & Revenue Growth
    • Identify and secure new commercial cleaning and FM contracts
    • Generate and manage a strong B2B sales pipeline
    • Target key sectors including corporate offices, retail, hospitality, healthcare and education
  • Tender & Bid Management
    • Lead RFP and tender processes end-to-end
    • Prepare compelling, value-led proposals
    • Deliver professional presentations to senior decision-makers
  • Client Engagement
    • Conduct site visits across London & the M25 corridor
    • Diagnose client pain points and provide fixed-budget, tailored solutions
    • Build long-term commercial relationships
  • Sales Administration
    • Maintain CRM accuracy
    • Weekly pipeline reviews with CEO
    • Activity reporting and forecasting

About You

We are looking for a driven, target-focused B2B Business Development Manager with:

  • Essential:
    • Proven track record in B2B sales (ideally cleaning or FM sector)
    • Demonstrable success hitting/exceeding revenue targets
    • Strong understanding of the full sales cycle
    • Experience managing tenders / RFP processes
    • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
    • Professional credibility with senior stakeholders
    • Full UK driving licence
    • CRM proficiency
    • Right to work in the UK
  • Highly Desirable:
    • Commercial cleaning / facilities management experience
    • Sustainability or ESG awareness
    • Existing network in corporate, retail, hospitality or healthcare sectors
    • Experience selling value over price
