Location: Surrey, BC V3W 8K2 (On site)

Salary: $24.00/hour (35-40 hours per week). Permanent, full time. Overtime required with flexible hours: Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, To be determined.

Work setting: Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. Note: This is NOT a condition of employment. Relocation costs covered by employer. Willing to relocate. Employer’s home.

Work site environment: Non‑smoking.

Responsibilities

  • Administer bedside and personal care
  • Administer medications
  • Assist clients in water (e.g., pool)
  • Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
  • Assist in regular exercise (e.g., walk)
  • Change non‑sterile dressings
  • Collect specimens
  • Feed or assist in feeding
  • Launder clothing and household linens
  • Mend clothing and linens
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
  • Provide companionship
  • Provide personal care
  • Shop for food and household supplies
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals

Qualifications

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.

Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year.

Physical and Work Conditions

Bending, crouching, kneeling; sitting, standing, walking. Physically demanding, repetitive tasks, standing for extended periods. Weight handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
