Mandarin Stone is a leading importer of natural stone and porcelain products in the UK. We are a family run business with 16 showrooms across the UK. We are recruiting for a Part Time Sales Consultant in our Harpenden showroom.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice about our range of products to meet the design brief of the client.
  • Identify solutions for customers’ tile projects and recommend the best product from our range.
  • Build client relationships; manage the sales process from initial enquiry to order and coordinating delivery.
  • Work as part of a fast-paced, close-knit team offering product and technical advice.
  • Answer customer calls, confirm orders, respond to emails, process payments, arrange samples, chase sales leads and provide aftercare service.

Experience and qualifications

  • You do not need prior industry experience; a comprehensive training programme is provided to familiarise you with our product range.
  • A creative flair with an eye for colour is advantageous.
  • We look for people who thrive in a sales and customer-focused environment and pride themselves on delivering high levels of customer service.
  • The successful candidate will be self-motivated, sales-driven, able to prioritise tasks, have excellent written and verbal communication, strong organisational skills and basic maths proficiency.

What we offer

  • Competitive salary and good working conditions in a non-target-driven environment with emphasis on customer service.
  • Working hours: 9.30am – 5.30pm Monday–Saturday and 11.00am – 4.00pm Sunday. Sales consultant will work three days per week, scheduled across seven days. Weekend work is required. Bank Holidays are closed.
