We have an exciting opportunity for a buyer for a Wrexham-based arts and crafts company. Our client is globally recognized as a worldwide industry leader in the arts and crafts market. This critical position within the supply chain purchasing team is in charge of the administration and management of the buying processes to ensure that product is purchased in the most cost-effective way possible, assisting the supply chain team in delivering world-class performance to the business.
As a buyer, you will be responsible for ensuring that the vendor's capacity and capabilities are sufficient to meet the needs of the business. It is critical to building strong ties across the three sites and influence key players throughout the process.
Requirements- Working knowledge of supply chain, distribution, or manufacturing.
- Qualification in CIPS or equivalent.
- Must have strong analytical, organisational, and attention to detail abilities.
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills, presenting skills, and the ability to work independently or in a team.
- Ability to analyse, manipulate, present, and summarise data.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Self-starter who is motivated, confident, and innovative in a multi-tasking, deadline-driven, fast-paced atmosphere.
- Mandarin fluency (both written and verbal).
- Willingness to travel on a regular basis (at least 25% of the time).
- Team player with strong negotiation skills.
- Preferably, experience in the Arts and Crafts industry.
