We have an exciting opportunity for a Mandarin Speaking Student Support Adviser role at a renowned UK University. It is seeking to hire an efficient and articulate person to fill this role. The Student Support Adviser will work as part of the Student Services Department and will be involved in all elements of face‑to‑face, written, and phone interactions with Higher Education UG and PG students.

Job Requirements

  • Prior experience working in a high‑volume reception and/or call centre setting.
  • Accustomed to working in a fast‑paced, customer‑facing environment.
  • IT, Word, and Excel skills.
  • Fluency in both English and Mandarin.
  • Awareness of current practice and the provision of services and support for students in higher education, and knowledge of the hurdles to a successful university experience that students may encounter.
  • Understanding of the importance of maintaining confidentiality.
  • Organising abilities, conflict‑resolution skills, and the ability to assist persons who are in difficulty.
  • Strong communication, organisation, and prioritisation abilities, and the ability to build and assess this new service as part of a team.
