We have an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Production Manager role in a UK-based Food and Beverage Manufacturing company. The Deputy Production Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting the Production Manager and Factory Director in supervising all aspects of the production process. This includes managing labor and material resources to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) while maintaining exceptional standards of quality, food safety, and workplace safety.

Reporting directly to the Factory Director, the Deputy Production Manager is responsible for providing regular progress updates and ensuring seamless operations. This position demands strong leadership abilities, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a commitment to driving continuous improvement in a dynamic, high-pressure, and fast-paced environment.

Requirements
  • GCSEs in Maths and English are mandatory.
  • Degree or relevant qualification in Production Management, Food Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred (equivalent professional experience will also be considered).
  • Level 3 HACCP certification or an equivalent qualification is required.
  • Health and Safety Certification – IOSH certification for health and safety management is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years working in chilled or frozen food production environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, nurture talent, and achieve performance objectives.
  • Proven track record in identifying and addressing bottlenecks and inefficiencies within production processes.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP) and health and safety regulations compliance.
  • Hands-on experience in production planning and performance analysis to enhance resource utilization and efficiency.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal abilities, adept at motivating teams and performing well under pressure.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin is highly preferred.
