We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior analyst role for a UK based environmental services company. The company combines industrial and financial experience with technology to assist in making a clear and efficient shift to zero carbon in the power sector.

Responsibilities:

  • Head research of China's power and industrial energy transformation.
  • Modelling, analysing and commenting on Chinese and EU power, carbon, and climate policies.
  • Interact with our engineering team frequently.

Qualifications:

  • Over ten years of experience modelling, analysing, and commenting on Chinese and EU power, carbon and climate policies.
  • Well‑understood power and carbon markets in China and the EU, as well as climate policies and their evolution.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in both English and Mandarin.
  • Recommended numerical degree in economics, energy, or engineering.
  • Passion for energy transformation and policy development on climate change of China.
  • Team player, well‑organized, precise, and trustworthy.
  • Self‑starter with a strong desire to advance in the position and the company.
  • Experience working with huge, unstructured datasets.
  • Commitment to assisting Chinese officials and investors on energy transition challenges and possibilities, rather than criticising them.
