We have an exciting opportunity for a Programme Manager role with a Telecom company in Reading. In collaboration with international brands, our client designs, produces, promotes, and sells smartphones and consumer electronics.
Job Purpose
Handle multiple product programmes through multiple functions, with a particular emphasis on senior stakeholder management across the lifecycle of the project. Responsible for overseeing all facets of the programme, with a focus on developing and identifying programme plans, scope, comprehensive deliverables, and timelines, as well as monitoring cross‑functional teams' progress against schedule, making appropriate adjustments, and minimising risk.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Experience in Programme Management with PRINCE2 or PMP methods (desirable but not essential).
- Previous experience in the telecommunications industry is preferred.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to manage up with senior management.
- Technical skill with prior experience in a fast‑paced, ever‑changing world.
- Hands‑on ability to see the larger picture, a strategic mindset, and excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to promote collaboration and maintain good inter‑departmental relationships (essential).
- Dynamic individual with strong problem‑solving and relationship‑building abilities.
- Language skills in Mandarin are advantageous when working with teams from mainland China and Taiwan.
